Recommendations
U.S. and Canadian postal services are very dependable, and both offer excellent tracking services. It is a good idea to take advantage of the extra security.
- Place your photos between two pieces of cardboard, bubble wrap or similar protection. The cover should be a bit larger than the largest photo.
- Use a padded envelope or special "Photo Mailer" package, if you wish. They are available from your post office.
-If you decide that you do not want to send us your original print, you may have your photos scanned and send the digital file to us instead.
- Scan photos in color (even black and white images). Save your digital in a high quality jpeg or tiff format.
- Do not make any adjustments to the photos during or after scanning.
- Scan at 600 dpi.
- You may send a lower resolution image for us to evaluate, but when it comes to restoring a digital photo, higher resolutions are best.
- If you don't have a scanner you could go to a Copy Center like Kinko's, Staples, etc. and have them scan the print for you.
- Shipping containers should be marked "Do not bend" on both sides. If you fill out a customs form, it should be marked "photos".
- Edisons' Photo Fix & Sho will assume no liability for any damage or loss that occurs in shipping.
